Do you suffer from RUSTY ROTORS?????

just taken off the generator outer cover and found rotor badly rusted, does water get in here normally? i was thinking it might be condensation? is this common, and do you think making a small drain hole will cure it?

There should be a gasket between the cover and the crankcase. Its often missing and thats how water gets in, fit a new one if it looks compromised or is missing. I would not drill a drain hole.

You can make one from gasket paper or cereal packet cardboard. Its just there to keep the weather out its not holding in oil.
